Classification of silica gel, there are several common classification methods.

1, according to the degree of polymerization classification 

Liquid silicone rubber: Compared with mixed semi-solid silicone rubber and common room temperature vulcanized single-component silicone rubber, this kind of silicone rubber has good fluidity and quick vulcanization, and can be cast and injected.

Mixing silicone rubber: It is a synthetic rubber made by adding raw silicone rubber to a two-roll rubber mixer or gradually adding white carbon black, silicone oil and other additives to a closed kneader.

2. Classification according to vulcanization temperature

RTV silicone rubber: It is a kind of two-component condensation RTV silicone rubber. Its raw rubber is usually hydroxyl-terminated polysiloxane, which is combined with other compounding agents and catalysts to form a rubber compound. The viscosity of this rubber compound can range from 100 cSt to 1 million cSt. 

High temperature vulcanized silicone rubber: it is based on linear polydimethylsiloxane with high molar mass, mixed with reinforcing filler and vulcanizing agent, and vulcanized into elastomer under heating and pressure

3, according to the packing form classification

One-component RTV silicone rubber: Although it is easy to use, its vulcanization depends on the moisture in the atmosphere, which limits the thickness of the vulcanized magnetic needle, and can only be used in occasions where the thickness is less than 6mm. 

Two-component RTV silicone rubber: It is the most common RTV silicone rubber. Its raw rubber is usually hydroxyl-terminated polysiloxane, which is combined with other compounding agents and catalysts to form a rubber compound. The viscosity of this rubber compound can range from 100 cSt to 1 million cSt.
